The Garden Apartments at Burwood Brickworks is situated adjacent to the shopping complex, anticipated to become the world’s most sustainable shopping centre. The development consists of four six-storey residential towers, which house 267 apartments and townhouses, a community café, and a basement carpark.

Our Scope
Marshall Day Acoustics was engaged to provide acoustic design and consulting services throughout the planning and construction phases.
Timelines
Project scoping and document preparation for town planning commenced in 2018 and the apartment complex reached practical completion in February 2021.
Challenges
The site is adjacent to the RSPCA kennels and an innovative approach to the façade design was required to obtain town planning approval and control potential noise impacts from the dog kennels. The design addressed environmental noise impacts without compromising natural light and outdoor space for apartment occupants.
